The Patriots are coming

Few in Indianapolis are happy that the Patriots will be the home team for the Super Bowl. Mike Chappell notes that means the Colts have been tossed out for the next two weeks:

Next week, the New England Patriots, as AFC champions and the Colts’ conference brethren, will take over the football side of the Colts’ West 56th Street complex. The NFC champion New York Giants will practice at the University of Indianapolis.

The Patriots will have full use — 24 hours a day — of the locker room, meeting rooms, training room, equipment room, practice fields and other football-related areas from Feb. 1-4.

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
