Sporting News ranks Pagano 18th among head coaches

I'm not sure how to view this ranking from Sporting News. They ranked the NFL head coaches 1-32, placing Colts' head coach Chuck Pagano 18th. For one, Pagano did a great job bringing the team together last offseason, and buying in to the new regime's mantra. On the other, we're not really sure how good of a head coach he is. Pagano was sidelined fof the vast majority of the season while battling leukemia, and was 2-3 as a head coach.

That being said, 18th may be a good place for Pagano. We'll know more after 2013.

Pagano endured a battle with leukemia away from the sidelines, and there's no doubt Andrew Luck and the rebooted Colts played hard for him when  he couldn't be right there with them. Now that he's back hands-on, the key is boosting the 3-4 defense up to his standards.
