The good news: Admad Bradshaw is no longer 'physically unable to perform'. The bad news: he's only been activated because of an August 4th practice in which the injured runningback took a few handoffs. Because that violated PUP rules – makes sense – the league forced Indy to take him off it. The story, according to NFL.com, is here.
While Bradshaw's foot woes have become chronic, the good news is that he has remained effective while playing through pain. When fully healthy, Bradshaw has proven capable of carrying a ground attack, as he did in racking up 316 yards on 57 carries in back-to-back New York Giants wins over the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers last season.
… in other words, this changes nothing. It still finds a place on our links page because – let's face it – if you heard a different headline saying "Bradshaw Activated", you, like us, would assume that he's ready to go. In reality, he's as healthy as usual for Bradshaw these days. Don't expect the veteran back before week one.
