Manning to MNF?

The speculation around Peyton Manning continues to mount and everyone has a horse in the race. The NY Daily News suggests that Ron Jaworski’s recent departure from ESPN’s Monday Night Football clears the way for Manning if he wishes to begin a TV career:

For if Peyton Manning decides to call it quits, not return to football for the 2012 season, ESPN has positioned itself perfectly to lure the Indy legend to Bristol.

If Manning wants to do TV next season, ESPN is our odds-on favorite to get him. Teams clear cap space. ESPN has cleared booth space.

I think the oil change place down the road fired their cashier to make room for Manning just in case he believes he has a lucrative career in the quick change lubrication industry.

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
