Manning Colts gear selling fast

Peyton Manning has departed the Circle City for Mile High environs. Apparently Manning-related merchandise is also scarce around town:

“We’ve sold more in the last two days than in the last three months. He’s just been wildly popular,” Tom Gebauer, manager of the Collectors Den store in Circle Centre mall, said Tuesday.

Gebauer said the three Collectors Den stores in Indianapolis have sold about $10,000 of Manning-autographed Colts merchandise since Monday, when his move to the Broncos became known.

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
