Luck seeks credibility

He was drafted first overall but clearly knows he’s looking up a mountain with the veterans. Andrew Luck knows his place:

“I’m definitely at the bottom of the totem pole,” the top pick in the NFL Draft told reporters Friday. “(I’m) trying to digest all the info first and build up a little credibility for myself.”

The former Stanford quarterback said he was trying to arrange unofficial workouts with Reggie Wayne, Austin Collie and some of the Colts’ other receivers.

“We’re talking about it,” Luck said of the informal workouts. “I talked with Austin and Reggie … and (we’ll) try and work something out.”

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
