Luck: no word from Colts on selection

Ryan Grigson says the Colts won’t negotiate a contract with their selection before the draft–doing it the “old fashioned” way. Of course with the simplicity of rookie contracts as part of the current collective bargaining agreement I believe Grigson may be playing his cards close to his chest or simply attempting to drive the press insane. Either way, Andrew Luck has a date with the team for a private workout but no indication that he’ll be taken first overall:

“I’ve talked to coach Pagano, I’ve talked to coach Christensen, but they haven’t come out and said that,” Luck said. “I understand they’ve got their work to do, they’ve got their due diligence to do, and I understand if it works out, great, and if it doesn’t, that’s great as well.”
