Kravitz: Seeking an answer

Bob Kravitz says there aren’t many workable scenarios left for Peyton Manning and Jim Irsay but their affection for each other makes this tough:

That’s not a reflection on Manning. Truth is, I’m not convinced he’d come back and accept the $28 million-plus and leave the Colts strapped for cash and dead against the cap. Why would he? He’d be returning to a team that would make 2-14 look like a walk in the park. He wants to win.

What we have here are two longtime friends who are trying to make things work, even if some of the public utterances can be perceived as antagonistic.

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
