Phil Richards of Indystar.com has a great story on Jerrell Freeman's improbable rise to the NFL, including quotes from Freeman and his father, Jimmy, as well as some of Freeman's eye-opening stats:
He can run, he can cover and you can’t bend or buckle his spirit. He is instinctive. He is studious. He is almost always in position: 13 tackles against Chicago, 18 against Minnesota and 16 vs. Jacksonville (coach’s totals, per film review).
It will be interesting to see, with Pat Angerer possibly back next week, if the Colts will try find ways to get Jerrell Freeman back on the field.
