Hilton to excel with more snaps?

T.Y. HIlton exploded onto the scene last season during the second half of the season, becoming a key part of the offense as his snaps increased. Nathan Jahnke of Pro Football Focus (on ESPN Insider) uses that as his reasoning for putting HIlton on his list of "Rising Snap Count Stars," players who will gain more attention in 2013 when given more opportunity.

It took some time for Hilton to find his spot on the Colts' depth chart as he started the season behind 2011 undrafted rookie Kris Adams. As the season went on, Hilton overtook Adams and gained the clear role as the No. 3 receiver in Indianapolis and saw his production increase in every possible statistic you could look at. This included four 100-yard games over the last 10 games of the season. The Colts let  Donnie Avery go in free agency, which pushes Hilton to the second receiver on the depth chart behind Reggie Wayne. While many people will go for a more recognizable name in the late rounds for their backup receiver, you can wait to get Hilton and see better production from him.
