I always felt that letting Jeff Saturday go was one of the most uncomfortable things Indy's done in the last decade. He was the guy everyone loved, somehow found undrafted, somehow a five-time Pro Bowl. To be fair, I nearly teared up when he snapped to Manning in the Pro Bowl last year. Hence, it's great that Saturday's new job will be with ESPN, as reported by Mike Chappell.
“Offensive linemen make some of the best analysts because they understand the nuances of the game and they typically have fun personalities — Jeff definitely fits this mold,” senior coordinating producer Seth Markman, who oversees ESPN’s NFL studio shows, said in a statement.
This also gives me the rare opportunity to watch enjoyable Pro Football analysis past Tony Dungy and Rodney Harrison.
