DHB’s MRI Comes Back Negative, Thankfully

It says a lot when your preseason is highlighted by only having to miss a few weeks; such is the case for Darius Heyward-Bey, who's MRI finally came back: negative. With only a sprained MCL, Indy's new receiver will still miss a few weeks of the preseason.

“Yeah, it stinks when a guy goes down but it is the nature of football and hopefully it is not too serious, I don’t think it is,” quarterback Andrew Luck said, via ESPN.com. “I feel very comfortable with all those guys, they do the right things, they run the right routes at the right time, they know how to get to the spot.” The Colts will probably look to wide receiver T.Y. Hilton to fill DHB’s role as the number 2 receiver.

Granted, DHB has been improving. Our first glimpse of him was less than stellar – a few drops here and there does little to instill confidence – but recent work with Reggie Wayne has been doing wonders for the ex-Raider. If he can suit up for the last few games of the preseason, we should be able to expect everything that we initially did from DHB come week one.
