DeCosta in the mix

Ozzie Newsome’s right hand man is indeed being considered for the GM spot in Indianapolis according to the Baltimore Sun:

The Indianapolis Colts, St. Louis Rams and one other team has contacted the Ravens and received permission to interview Director of Player Personnel Eric DeCosta for their general manager opening, according to league sources.

None of the interviews have taken place as of now, but that could change in the next couple of days.

The Colts and Rams have already started their interview process and it is believed that DeCosta, the heir apparent to Ravens general manager and executive vice president Ozzie Newsome, is at or near the top of their respective wish lists.

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
