Colts hire 3 assistants

Chuck Pagano is working to fill out his coaching staff. He’s even hired a safeties coach before a defensive coordinator:

Marwan Maalouf will join the Colts as special-teams coach, and Roy Anderson will be their safeties coach, according to FoxSports.com. The Baltimore Sunalso reported the hirings. Maalouf was the Ravens’ assistant special-teams coach in 2011, and Anderson was the Ravens’ defensive assistant / secondary. Pagano was the Ravens’ defensive coordinator before taking the Colts’ head-coaching job last week.

Also, the Colts have added Alfredo Roberts, most recently the Buccaneers’ TE coach, in the same capacity, according to the report.

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
