Bowen: Texans-Colts Postgame Thoughts

After watching the Colts really dominate the Houston Texans last Sunday, the real question this week is: are the Colts actually good, or has Houston collapsed? Short of the second half against Green Bay, Indy hasn't looked better this season; furthermore, their win elevates them to 3-2 against playoff teams this year. Remember how they can't beat good teams?

Anyway, Kevin Bowen has the postgame analysis from Colts.com; for those who missed the game, it's a good review of how good the Colts can be. Hopefully they take the same sort of intensity to Baltimore this week.

The thought of playing the Ravens was fairly new to players when informed of their next opponent in the post-game locker room. “It doesn’t matter to us.  We’ll play in the parking lot,” outside linebacker Dwight Freeney said. “We just want to go out there and play football and be in this dance, which we are and just go out there and play against the best.  Our goals, we have to accomplish these goals.” The storylines will be plentiful this week in leading up to Sunday’s kickoff pitting Head Coach Chuck Pagano against a team with whom he coached from 2008-11.

Oh, right. He DID coach for Baltimore for quite some time. And as it were, Arians coached against them in Pittsburgh … hm …
