Indianapolis Colts Release Statement on Status of Peyton Manning

The Indianapolis Colts, not one to worry about whether or not you enjoy your Labor Day barbeque, have released a statement today regarding the health of QB Peyton Manning.  In it, the Colts confirm reports that doctors are concerned about the slow rate with which Manning is healing.  That, combined with a sore back, have led doctors to the conclusion that Manning should stop practicing immediately.  The Colts listed Manning as doubtful for Sunday’s season opener against the Texans, and said they would continue to update Manning’s status as the week goes on.
