Colts Power Rankings: 2011, Week 6

Each week, Coltzilla will scour the net for team rankings from football experts covering the previous week, and discuss them from the fan’s perspective.

Average Ranking: 31.13 (previously 31.38)

CBS Sports – Pete Prisco – 32nd (no change): They haven’t quit, but it’s looking more and more like they might have the first pick next April.

ESPN – Kuharsky – 32nd (no change): A team that has long found ways to pull games out late is now regularly finding ways to lose. (Kuharsky)

Fox Sports – 31nd (+1): Another hard-fought game, and they actually may have found something in RB Delone Carter, who filled in nicely for an injured Joseph Addai. QB Curtis Painter will win this team a couple games before it’s all over.

WEEI in Boston – 32nd (no change): Before the season started, the Week 7 rematch of Super Bowl XLIV was a game many marked on their calendar. Six weeks in, it’s safe to say it will probably result in the Colts chalking up their seventh straight loss. Indy without Manning makes you wonder if they would be able to beat a college team.

Pro Football Talk – 30th (no change): “Suck for Luck” should be the title of the team’s official 2011 season DVD.

Sports Illustrated – Don Banks – 32nd (no change): I’d cough up way more than a penny for Peyton Manning’s thoughts while he watches (endures?) his Colts teammates as they play out this disaster of a season. It must be like a bad dream that refuses to end in Indy. And it’s got 10 more games to go.

Walter Football – 30th (no change): Some people say the Colts are 0-6 because Peyton Manning is injured. That’s a bunch of bull crap. Clearly, this guy is entirely to blame for the team’s 0-6 start: – [Click the link if you want to know what he's talking about.]

Yahoo Sports – 30th (+1): The matchup vs. the Saints this Sunday night looked like a great primetime feature back when the schedules were released.
