Mike Chappell of IndyStar.com reports that Benjamin Ijalana suffered damage to his ACL against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Monday night and may miss the remainder of the season. If he does, Mike Tepper’s spot on the roster will likely remain and Ijalana’s development for 2012 will be put on hold.

As if 2010 was not bad enough for the Colts, who had a league-high number of missed games due to injury, 2011 is starting off worse.

Defensive tackle Eric Foster will likely miss the remainder of the year. Linebacker Gary Brackett and safety Melvin Bullitt have already been placed on injured reserve. Quarterback Peyton Manning’s future is in doubt, and his streak of consecutive games started has ended. Now the second round rookie tackle could be finished.

Do not expect a let down from the Colts though. Despite unprecedented adversity, the team continues to fight hard. Coltzilla wishes all of the fallen players well in their recovery.

*Earlier today Colts head coach Jim Caldwell announced in a press conference that Foster underwent successful ankle surgery that will end his season.
