More Roster Moves, Colts Cut TE McNeill and Others

Per the Indy Star:

Colts waive TE Mike McNeill and waive WR Chris Brooks and DB DeAndre McDaniel from the practice squad.

This confirms our earlier report of Brooks' departure, although the signing of Caleb Campbell has yet to be officially announced.

The waiving of McNeill and McDaniel is new however, and McNeill's cutting is one that seems to be an admittance of error in the Colts' part.

Before the required deadline, the Colts cut Kyle DeVan, Jacques McClendon, Tommie Harris, Ricardo Mathews, Ollie Ogbu, and John Chick. All of these players would have provided needed depth for struggling positions, whereas McNeill was stuck behind Dallas Clark, Jacob Tamme, and Brody Eldridge.

Now, the Colts have cut McNeill, perhaps having realized that he was not going to be what the Colts needed this season. The Colts don't make nearly as many mistakes as some may claim, but this was one they are guilty of.
