Coltsider FFL: Midseason Update

Back on August 30th, Coltsider launched our first ever Fantasy Football League, courtesy of NFL.com. With eight weeks of the 2011-12 season now completed, I figured it was time to give an update on the progression of the league and let everyone know who's been grinding it out for the bragging rights, a $25 gift card plus their very own Coltsider post, and the title of Coltsider FFL Champion. While I continue to do my best impersonation of our very own Indianapolis Colts (that's what I get for drafting Peyton Manning and Antonio Gates), some members of this website have been enjoying a lot of success and continue to stampede through the competition. To Hell in a Hank Baskett and shelby-james (Mark) have started red hot with a very impressive 7-1 record through the first eight weeks. MadsKabell is only one game behind at 6-2. So far, the league has been very competitive and close. As a result, five other teams are currently sitting at 5-3. With only five weeks left and eight playoff spots to be filled, every game and waiver decision becomes more and more important! Playoffs officially begin in Week 14 and the winner will be crowned in Week 16. Special thanks to everyone who has been participating and all of you who weren't able to participate this year. I hope everyone has enjoyed this as much as the Coltsider team and if the interest remains next season, we will most likely open multiple leagues so we can make sure that everyone is able to enjoy the second annual Coltsider FFL. If you have any questions about the league, the rules, or anything else, you can visit the Coltsider FFL league page or click here. For a little fun, if the playoffs were held today, these teams would capture the following seeds:
