2014 NFL Schedule: Colts to Visit Denver on Sunday Night Football to Open Season

The 2014 NFL regular season schedule is released tonight, and the first tidbit is that the Colts will be visiting Denver to play Peyton Manning and Co. on Sunday Night Football on opening weekend (Sept. 7).

The Colts will also visit New York to face the Giants on Monday Night Football on November 3. Indianapolis will host the Eagles in Week 2 on MNF. Reports are that the Colts will have five primetime games in 2014.

Stay tuned to Colts Authority for more details as they are released tonight. The full schedule will be released at 8 p.m. ET.

Oh wait, it looks like the Colts’ website has the schedule live prior to the NFL’s “schedule release show.” Whoops.

At first glance, it’s a very favorable layout for Indianapolis. Most of the most difficult games are in the beginning of the season where (hopefully) injuries haven’t taken their tole just yet.

At the same time, there’s no ridiculous slate of games back-to-back-to-back. The Colts get a great bye week in Week 10, sandwiched between primetime games and prior to the showdown against New England.
