The Colts brought in RB Ahmad Bradshaw this offseason, in large part, because of his ability to pass block effectively.
Indianapolis desperately needed to improve their pass protection this season, and rookie running back Vick Ballard struggled to block consistently last season.
But, if the Colts' season opener was any indication, Ballard has improved noticeably from 2012. Ballard was very effective in blocking, both from a technique and awareness standpoint, against the Raiders, which is a fantastic sign for the Colts, who need to build a NASA-like heat shield around Andrew Luck.
After noticing it Sunday, I decided to take a closer look at Ballard's blocking in this week's Colts Authority Video Breakdown.
