Colts Sign OT Bradley Sowell

Thanks to Jim Irsay’s Twitter account, the Colts have announced the roster move made to fill the leftover roster spot from yesterday’s moves.

The new addition is OT Bradley Sowell, a Tampa Bay Buccaneer practice squad member. Undrafted from Ole Miss, Sowell made the original 53-man roster, before waiver claims forced him onto the practice squad.

Sowell is an  big, (6-7, 320) athletic tackle , but likely won’t do much more than backup Justice and Castonzo this season. The Colts needed another lineman with Justice and Joe Reitz both bothered with injuries.

Sowell will likely backup Jeff Linkenbach and Anthony Castonzo next week, unless Justice is available to play. Newcomer Trai Essex will be the depth at the interior. The Colts currently have nine OL on the roster, but only seven are completely healthy at this point.
