Manning for MVP, round 1,731

One of the many storylines repeated through this season has been the suggestion that Peyton Manning in some way deserves the MVP.  Granted, it’s clear Manning is the franchise but in light of the year that Aaron Rodgers is having it’s not an idea based in reality:

“Look, we all know who would win if we took a poll right now. Aaron Rodgers would absolutely kill it. But if the Colts end up going the way they’re headed,” said Mike Dunphy, publisher and editor-in-chief of NFL Magazine, “the more it proves that Peyton really is the franchise.”

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
