Hobbson: pull the starters

The wound from 2009’s aborted attempt at a perfect season is fresh in the mind of Roy Hobbson.  And he takes the Colts front office to task this week with some rather pointed observations and suggestions:

…the Colts should rest their starters for the final 14 pointless games of this dreadful season. Because let’s not be coy here: why tack on needless miles to the already-thin treads of Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Joe Addai and Jeff Saturday for no good reason at all? Why not preserve their talents for when their talents can actually vie for Super Bowls?

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
