Chappell: Drafts to blame

Here’s one to feed the angry mob. Mike Chappell answered the mailbag yesterday and takes a stance with which many fans can agree:

The failures at the top of the draft have had a domino effect and forced the team to fill holes with lesser talent. And fans are wrong when they say the Colts haven’t addressed the offensive line. They have. They’ve just failed at it: Ugoh, Pollak, Jacques McClendon and to a lesser degree Steve Justice, Jamey Richard and Jaimie Thomas. I still don’t understand why the team waived Kyle DeVan and kept Richard in the first place.

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
