Castonzo’s rough day

Facing Terrell Suggs is tough.  For a rookie it’s incredibly tough as Anthony Castonzo learned:

After the Ravens game, perspective was delivered by a voice with experience. Will Wolford, a former standout left tackle with the Colts and Buffalo Bills and a radio analyst with the Colts, relayed to Castonzo that he, too, had endured one of those Ravens-like days.

In a matchup with linebacker Derrick Thomas, the late Kansas City Chiefs pass-rush standout and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Wolford allowed four sacks.

“I appreciated hearing it from a guy who had been there, done that,” Castonzo said. “It makes you feel a little better knowing that everyone has had their peaks and valleys.

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
