Baltimore’s old guard can’t see a future

Yes Colts fans, it’s time to face Baltimore.  The citizens of what is undeniably a great city have wallowed in self-pity for the last 28 year after a bitter battle between the city, state and the rightful owners of a private business. Despite giving the city a Super Bowl win, the petty nature fans exhibit prevents them from fully appreciating the Ravens:

“I don’t know if you’ll ever get past it,” he said. “That was our team. That was our identity. We’re not the Baltimore Ravens. We’re sort of stepsons here.

“The Ravens treat us well, but we’re not really Ravens.”

About Todd Smith

Todd Smith is a part-time sportswriter who spends too much time arguing on Twitter. What he really loves is eating poorly and watching football. He got his first Colts t-shirt in 1984 shortly after the Mayflower trucks arrived and has never given up on his hometown team. He also still holds to the belief that Kordell Stewart stepped out of the end zone and thus cheated the Colts.
