Peyton Manning had some interesting comments from his Manning Passing Academy today.
According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, Manning hasn’t been throwing because he can’t work with his Colts’ trainer. We do know that Manning has done at least some throwing, but has been largely playing it cautious.
Manning also refuted rumors that his most recent surgery was related at all to his previous one, but said it was due to remnants of the 2010 season.
The two procedures were not related, according to Manning. The March 2010 surgery eradicated a buildup of calcium in his neck. This year’s surgery corrected the disk problem.
The most worrisome part of the comments is that Manning wouldn’t say whether he’d be ready for camp.
