Colts Projected to Win AFC South

AccuScore Advisor offers professional grade football projection systems that help build sustainable success while projecting NFL football.

Despite Austin Collie, Dallas Clark, Joseph Addai, Dominic Rhodes, and Anthony Gonzalez missing an average of 10.4 games each last season, Peyton Manning propelled the Colts offense to an NFL best 4,609 passing yards and the 4th highest scoring offense in the league. The Colts were 29th in rushing offense but still won the AFC South, finishing with a 10-6 record.

This season, Indy will hope for a bit more balance in the offense and a healthier backfield. For the 2011 season, the Colts are projected to have a 66% probability of winning the AFC South and a 71% likelihood of making the playoffs.

The Colts were not only impacted by injuries on the offensive side of the ball; linebacker Clint Sessions only played 5 games during the 2010 season after leading the team in tackles during the 2009 season. If the Colts can manage a relatively healthy 2011 campaign, there is no reason these Colts cannot return to the AFC elite and become Super Bowl Contenders.
